General Information

This large celebration, held yearly in February during the Chinese New Year, brings together all the major Chinese Organizations in Knoxville and surrounding areas for an evening of song, dance, martial arts, and other performances to celebrate Chinese Culture and the coming of Spring !

The date for the 2014 show was Sunday, February 2, 2014.

The 2014 show featured Professional Acrobat Jui Wei as our Special Guest Performer ! From Wu Qiao, China, he has been performing since the age of 11 in over 15 countries. He masterfully performed vase juggling and acrobatics on a tower of chairs for our Festival !

1. Take I-40 to Exit 387 (17th Street)
2. Turn right at a traffic light on the 17th street
3. Go through a couple of traffic lights and turn left at a traffic light onto Cumberland Ave
4. Turn Right on Volunteer Blvd
NOTE: Phillip Fulmer Way is CLOSED to Cumberland Ave. for construction
5. Turn Left onto Circle Park Way SW
6. Turn Left onto Peyton Manning Pass
7. Turn Left onto Phillip Fulmer Way
8. Turn Right onto Middle Drive, go up the hill
9. Alumni Memorial Building is the first building on your right
10. You can drop off at AMB, then park at the 11th Street Garage

Cox Auditorium has 900 seats and the East Tennessee Chinese New Year Festival sells out every year. Please check back on this web page in Fall 2014 for details on the 2015 show.
