East Tennessee Chinese New Year Festival
This large celebration, held yearly in February during the Chinese New Year, brings together
all the major Chinese Organizations in Knoxville and surrounding areas for an evening of
song, dance, martial arts, and other performances to celebrate Chinese Culture
and the coming of Spring!
Our 2015 show -- the Year of the Sheep -- was held on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015 from 3:30 - 5:30 pm in the Alumni Memorial Building on the University of Tennessee Campus. This show featured Acrobat Rui Zhang and Peking Opera Actor Chunnuan Liu.
All seats were reserved for this show, and all tickets were sold online.

1. Take I-40 to Exit 387 (17th Street)
2. Turn left at a traffic light onto Cumberland Avenue
3. Go through a couple of traffic lights and turn right onto Phillip Fulmer Way
4. Turn left onto Middle Drive, go up the hill
5. Alumni Memorial Building is the first building on your right
6. You can drop off passengers at AMB, then park at the 11th Street Garage or the White Avenue Garage

Cox Auditorium has 900 seats and the East Tennessee Chinese New Year Festival
sells out every year. All seats are reserved - and tickets cost $5, $7.50, and $10
depending on location within Cox Auditorium. All tickets will be sold online this year.
Our 2015 show featured professional Acrobat Rui Zhang and Peking Opera Actor
Chunnuan Liu from New York City. There were contortions, plate spinning, face changing,
and a Monkey King act. Local members of our community performed dance, martial arts,
singing, comedy, and much more! It was a spectacular show -
please come celebrate the new year next year with us!
